Core technology

Every feature maps to an outcome.

We design the systems that decide how a clean heating or cooling product performs — and build each one around a result for the person using it.

01 · Heating

Infrared cooking platform

Tuned for Indian vessels and Indian cooking — tawa, kadhai, flat or round-bottom.

  • More useful heat per watt, lower bills and battery drain
02 · Control

Power electronics and presets

Control electronics for battery and grid power, a gas-style knob and presets for stir-fry, deep-fry and roti.

  • Anyone cooks well on it from day one
03 · DC-first

Battery and solar native

Built to run directly on DC power from batteries and solar panels.

  • Clean cooking where the grid is weak or missing
04 · Safety

Zero open flame

No flame, no gas line, no smoke in tight or poorly ventilated spaces.

  • Safer, cooler workspaces and cleaner air
05 · Duty

Built for Indian cooking loads

Engineered for boil-after-boil chai and continuous frying, shift after shift.

  • Commercial output without slowing service

Next: DC-first cooling and cold storage.

Heating is where we started. We're now applying the same DC-first approach to refrigeration and cold storage that runs on solar and battery — so food businesses can keep produce fresh without depending on the grid.

Our story

Started with a cup of tea. Built to cook a full meal.

Our first prototype was a solar box that heated water and made tea. At RE-Invest 2024 it reached the top 10 of the International Solar Alliance's SolarX Startup Challenge — and we were asked whether it could cook a full meal and make rotis. That question sent us to infrared.

Today we design, assemble and test our products at our facility in Vahelal, Ahmedabad — and we're taking the same approach to cooling.

FAQ

Questions partners ask.

Anything else — write to us and a founder will reply.

What does Cibos make?

Clean electric cooking and cooling products built DC-first — infrared cooktops that run on grid, battery or solar, with our own control electronics and battery systems. Our consumer brands are Orza (homes) and Agnit (street vendors).

What is the minimum order for OEM or private label?

We work with volumes from 100 units for finished products. Share your volumes and timeline and we'll suggest the right route.

Can you build a private-label cooktop for my brand?

Yes. We customise wattage, form factor, controls and battery or solar integration, and supply finished cooktops under your brand.

Are your products certified?

Our products are BIS ISI certified. Our commercial stove has a third-party tested thermal efficiency of 83.8%, and we have filed 6+ patents on our own technology.

How do livelihood projects pay for the kits?

We work with three models: outright kit sale, battery rental where users own the stove, and battery swap stations. We can help structure the right one with your MFI or programme partner.

Do you install and service the products?

Yes. We handle delivery, installation, operator training and maintenance through our partner network.

Where are you based?

Our office and facility are at Vahelal, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. We deploy across India.
